How to set sender IDs and mobile numbers for Burst SMS
Can we send SMS out of First Class where the SMS sender is our business name?
The answer is YES!
This article below discusses the option within Burst SMS to set sender ID's and numbers and how to configure the sender ID within First Class so all of your SMS messages come from your business name.
Step 1 - Log into your burst SMS account - https://firstclasssoftware.transmitsms.com
Step 2 - Click on the Numbers tab
Step 3 - Click on the Add number or Add sender ID button
Step 4 - You can either choose a Virtual number from the list or add a sender ID.
Please complete the form to request the use of a custom Sender ID. Once submitted, SMS burst will review your request and notify you once approved and the Sender ID is available in your account.
Once your sender ID has been set up and approved you need to set this up inside of your First Class settings.
Go to settings--->facility------>SMS configuration.
Make sure the senderID matches the exact ID you have approved in your Burst SMS account.
Once you have saved the ID, send a test SMS to a test account to confirm the SMS comes from your senderID.
