How to use the First Class App
How can a customer access the app?
Customers can download the app from the Apple or Google app stores
We suggest you include direct links in your customer welcome/onboarding emails.
The username (email address) and password sent to the customer in their welcome email will work for both the customer portal and app.
How to view classes in the app
If you have multiple students within your app, you can quickly swipe between the students at the top of the home screen.
Class details for that student will display on the home screen (next class only)
Full class details for each student are displayed in the my bookings section.
This bookings section will display class location, level, teacher, day, time and dates.
View progress reports
Progress reports can be seen on the main home screen under the class details
How to make a booking via the app
Go to the bookings tab at the bottom of the app
Then select the make booking option at the top of the screen
This will list all available classes
You may wish to filter classes by using the filter options found in the top right corner.
You can filter by the following parameters
- Day
- Level
- Location
- Teacher
- Term
When you find a class you would like to book, press the make booking button.
This will lead to a summary page for that class which will include all key details including the cost of the class.
At the bottom of this section, you can add the select class to your "cart" by pressing the add to bookings button.
Once you have added a class to your cart you have two options
1. Make another booking
2. View booking summary
You can use the make another booking option to book a second lesson for the same student or a lesson for one of the other students on your account.
You can switch the selected student you wish to book via the switcher at the top of the make booking screen.
If you are ready to confirm you booking proceed to the booking summary which will display a summary of all bookings and the total cost.
You can then proceed to the payment step to finalise your booking by clicking on proceed to pay.
How to book a make up lesson via the app
To book a make up lesson via the app go to the bookings tab, and select the make up lesson option.
This will list all available classes that match the selected students current level.
Note: You will need a valid make up token to be able to book a make up lesson. You can get a make up token by recording an absence within the required paramaters for your facility.
To book your make up, click on the make booking option for your desired class.
This will then update and display your make up within your "my bookings" section of the app.
NOTE: Once a make up booking is made, you cannot cancel it.
How to record an absence in the app
A customer can record an absence for a student by clicking the attendance tab at the bottom of the app.
This will display all classes the selected student is enrolled in.
Click on the class for which you wish to record an absence.
You can scroll through available class dates to skip forward to a future date.
Tick the absence button for the appropriate class date.
You can also enter a reason for the absence if you wish but this is not required.
Important: To save your absence you must click the green tick next to the absence button.
You will then receive a success pop up when the absence has been successfully recorded.
How to update contact information
Your key contact information can be updated in the app via the profile tab.
Click the profile tab at the bottom of the screen.
Click on edit account.
Here you can update key contact information such as email address, phone number and other details.
You can also update details for your students including medical conditions.
How to re-set password via the app
You can find a re-set password button on the login screen of the app.
Simply click the forgot password button and follow the prompts to re-set your password.
NOTE: Updating your password will update your login for both the web portal and app
