How to add email templates
This article gives you the steps on how to add email templates to the system.
Step 1 - Within the Settings menu, under Communication, click “Email Templates”.
Step 2 - Click the “Add New Email Templates” button
Step 3 - Fill up the details in the template. E.g template name, subject, content, etc. You can format it depending on your perspective.
Step 4 - Categorize your template by ticking the email type. The new template will belong to the selected email type.
Step 5 - Select the automated type If you are making an automated email where the system will automatically send an email. Leave it blank if not.
Step 6 - Click any placeholder to use in the content. These placeholders will automatically use the appropriate data depending on the selected data.
Step 7 - You can also upload the attachment by clicking the button “Upload Attachments”.
Step 8 - Or drag the files to the page.
Step 9 - You need to wait for the confirmation that the file is successfully uploaded.
Step 10 - Click the “X” button if you want to remove the file.
Step 11 - Click the “Update” button to save the template.
Step 12 - It will prompt a notification that the template is saved.
Now, you can use that template in sending emails or SMS to your staff, students, and parents.
How do I update the font of a template?
The template builder has a control panel at the top where you can select your template font, font size etc.
You can also add images and links into your template using the tools in the panel.
Can you edit the font of the embedded data fields?
Yes, you can make your data fields font inline with the font of your email body by selecting the data field text and selecting your preferred font and font size. This will result in the font of the data fields being in-line with your chosen font as opposed to the default field font.
