FAQ Skill Tracking and Assessments

How can we notify that a student is ready to move up?

On the class list, use the P (progression) button to record a progression event. You can then use the send progress report feature to send a progression email to the customer. This can include a "next level" tag, which will illustrate the next level for that student.

Do the date stamps for when a skill was assessed update automatically?

Yes, the last updated date stamp for each skill is based on the last time the skill was updated.

However, if a skill is unchanged from one assessment to another, the last updated date will remain the same.

For example, if a skill was marked as improving in March and then was at the same standard in June, the date updated would remain as March.

Recording an overall assessment for the student does not update the last updated date stamp for all the individual skills.

Is there a way to find students who have not had a recent assessment?

Yes, the non-assessment report shows students who have a current active booking but have not been assessed within a selected date range.

What dictates the "next level" when making a progression?

The order of your levels dictates the "next level" in terms of progression. You can drag and drop the sort order of your levels in your level settings.

This functionality has two important elements:

  1. The next level tag in a progression email reflects your level sort order.

  2. If you have enabled moves in the portal, moves for progressed students only allow the customer to move the student to the "next level," which also reflects the sort order.

Would you like me to also make this into an FAQ-style document with numbering (like 1, 2, 3, 4), so it matches your other formatted documents?
